Harrisburg Academy’s NewsMagazine is a bi-annual update about the people who make our school a great place to learn – teachers, students, parents, alumni, and friends. Here, you’ll find features and news about our entire community, including class notes and profiles.
Harrisburg Academy is proud of the global education it provides to students, both during the school day and beyond the walls of the school. The most recent issue of NewsMagazine showcases the exciting, enriching global experiences of our first group of IB Summer Scholars as they traveled across the world last summer. Between location-based education and hands-on service work, their stories are remarkable (education doesn’t get more authentic than learning from the source!). The magazine also highlights the international work of two of our teachers and how their global travel is having a marked impact on day-to-day instruction in their classrooms here at home. This issue profiles the “something more and something different” that makes the Academy a dynamic global learning community – a learning community in which students gain 21st century competencies that prepare them to excel in college and beyond.
