Harrisburg Academy is currently accepting applications for additions to our daily substitute list. Academy faculty and staff very much value the work of our substitute teachers. It is important for us to find a good match between our academically-oriented students and those who work with our students when their teacher is absent. Interested candidates should have a related degree or experience working with children.
Current State Police, Child Abuse, FBI clearances, a physical, and a TB test are required. Substitute teachers may specify days of the week they are available as well as the grades they are comfortable teaching.
The Academy needs substitute teachers for the following divisions:
Early Childhood (3 year olds through Kindergarten)
Lower School (First Grade through Fourth Grade)

After School Program Staff
Harrisburg Academy is currently accepting applications for staff for our after school program. We are seeking individuals who have a love of working with preschool and elementary age children. The position requires good communication skills, a sense of creativity and enthusiasm, the ability to plan and implement age-appropriate activities, and work well with parents and community members. Applicants need to be at least 18 years of age and be required to pass a full background check. Part-time Certified Athletic Trainer
Employment begins in August 2010. Individual must be NATA certified and be available from 2:30 – 7 p.m. daily. Some Saturdays required. The following sports are school-sponsored: Tennis, Soccer, Field Hockey, Basketball, and Lacrosse.
