Congratulations to the boys’ varsity soccer team for winning the 2007 SIAC Championship with a 6-0 league record!

In the fall, Harrisburg Academy offers field hockey and boys’ soccer in both Middle and Upper School, girls’ tennis in Upper School, and cross country in Middle School. Varsity field hockey, soccer, and tennis teams compete against public schools in District III PIAA. The varsity field hockey and soccer teams also belong to the Susquehanna Independent Athletic Conference (SIAC).

We believe participation in athletics fosters the qualities of teamwork, sportsmanship, cooperation, commitment, and lifelong fitness. For that reason, we’re committed to a no-cut policy in all of our athletics programs. We encourage all of our students in grades 6-12 to play at least one sport if possible. Many of our students play more than one sport while keeping up a challenging academic schedule and participating in other activities.

At the Middle School level, athletes who work hard and attempt to learn and love the game are the ones who have the greatest amount of playing time. These student-athletes become the ones who lead their teams to winning seasons and find the largest measure of personal success.

Our varsity teams aim to be competitive every year. We are often vying for SIAC championships and PIAA playoff spots.

NEW IN 2008-09!
The Academy's cooperative sponsorship agreement with Trinity High School begins this year and continues in 2009-2010. Under this agreement, Academy students in grades 9-12 will be eligible to try out for football, cross country, and golf in the fall and baseball, softball, and  track and field in the spring. The Academy will host Trinity athletes on our field hockey and boys lacrosse teams.

Please contact Athletics Director Jeane Serino to learn more about the cooperative sponsorship agreement with Trinity.
