Low cost book sellers AbeBooks.com and Alibris.com typically sell used textbooks for as low as $1 apiece.

Good Reads - Goodreads is the largest social network for readers in the world, with over 3,500,000 members and 100,000,000 books. Goodreads members recommend books, compare what they are reading, keep track of what they've read and would like to read, form book clubs and much more.

Shelfari - Keep track of books you've read. Join groups to dicuss books with readers like you. Share interesting facts about books and the stories within them. Connect with friends.

Online books for eReaders:

Classic Books - from the Library of Congress for kids, teens and adults. Read or listen online or on your eReader.

Many Books - thousands of free books that can be downloaded in about a dozen formats for all kinds of e-reading devices.

LibriVox - The goal is to make all books in the public domain available as free audiobooks. Volunteers record the books, chapter by chapter, and release the audio files back onto the net.
