Support the Academy

Voluntary giving is a tradition among independent non-profit schools like Harrisburg Academy. Tuition alone does not cover the full expense of an Academy education, nor does it provide the substantial funds needed for financial aid, faculty professional growth, and major capital improvements.

As an independent school, the Academy does not receive any money from local, state, and federal governments. That independence provides unparalleled opportunities for our school to develop challenging, innovative and creative educational programs. It also means that we’re fully dependent on tuition and charitable gifts (endowment interest and annual giving) to support the faculty and wide range of programs that our students enjoy.

Harrisburg Academy depends upon the many constituents of the Academy community—made up of current families, alumni, parents of alumni, grandparents, faculty and friends—to generously contribute to various programs and funds throughout the year. This culture of voluntary giving creates a partnership between the school and the Academy community to provide the highest quality education and opportunities for our students today and tomorrow.
