The Biggest Advantage to Teaching at an Independent School:

The community within an independent school setting is a unique and special one of which to be a part. It is a community dedicated to supporting each other in developing the whole child; academically, socially, and emotionally.

Why I Love Harrisburg Academy:

I love the fact that Harrisburg Academy seeks to raise global citizens who will be open-minded, contributing members of society no matter where their educational, professional, and personal pursuits take them after their time at the Academy.

A Memorable Moment at the Academy:

From the moment I walked onto campus for the first time, I was struck by how welcoming the faculty, administration, and families were to me. It truly is a special community, of which I'm honored to be a part.

My Favorite Book:

"The Alchemist" by Paulo Coelho. I first read this book as a high school student, but have re-read it in different points in my life, and it has spoken to me in different ways each time I read it. This book provides a great reminder that your life journey is yours alone, and it is important to honor where that journey takes you.
