The Biggest Advantage to Teaching at an Independent School:

At Harrisburg Academy, administrators trust their staff members to know what's needed in their classes. I love the autonomy and the freedom to be creative. I also enjoy the small class sizes.

Why I Love Harrisburg Academy:

As I stated above, the administration gives us support, but gives us freedom. Everyone is friendly. The students are great. I love that I can be personally involved with all of my students because the classes are small. Parents are supportive and care about their children's education.

A Memorable Moment at the Academy:

International Night was amazing. I loved the show, and doing Zumba with the kids was fantastic. I also loved the wonderful variety of foods that the staff and parents contributed.

My Favorite Book:
I don't have one favorite, but I love Jane Austen books. Her characters are strong women living in a time period where women were not encouraged to be all they could be. Despite those limitations, her heroines use their wit and creativity to accomplish their goals.
