Dear Friends,

Greetings and Happy New Year!  As many do at the beginning of the new year, we have been planning and setting goals for 2016.  In discovering the potential of the alumni community at Harrisburg Academy, I believe it is our goal to invest in alumni programs that inspire the development and interests of current students, and increase awareness of the importance of sustained giving to the Academy.  A healthy, warm, and, prosperous new year to all our alumni.

Alumni Relations Mission Statement

Harrisburg Academy's Alumni Relations program works to extend the advantages of an Academy education beyond graduation.  We are committed to expanding our global network of alumni, enriching Academy alumni relationships, and galvanizing the philanthropic support of current and future alumni for the school's mission and operations.

A Note from Jim Newman

Dear Academy alumni,

I wanted to join Michael LaRue and add my best wishes for a happy, healthy, and productive 2016. We are excited about our plans for this year.

One goal is to continue to expand our successful Alumni Network and use it to benefit every Academy graduate and current Upper School student. Michael initiated the network two years ago. He functions as the pivot point, linking Academy alumni to each other, most often for job-related purposes.  Read more...

Central PA Screening of "Waffle Street"

Come out and support Jimmy Adams '95 at the Carlisle Theatre on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 7:30 p.m. for a screening of "Waffle Street," the movie based on his book of the same name.  The film was named Best Feature at the 2015 Hollywood Film Festival and received the Audience Award for Best Feature at the Red Rock Film Festival.

Jimmy's memoir chronicles his life after a layoff from a hedge fund in the wake of the 2008 financial crisis.  This screening will be the only opportunity to see the film, starring James Lafferty, Julie Gonzalo, and Danny Glover, at this time at a theatre in Pennsylvania.

Jimmy will be available for a Q&A and book signing after the screening.  Tickets are available for purchase here.
