Dear Friends,

Harrisburg Academy continues to be a place where creativity is actively encouraged and used to inspire students.  Creativity flourishes here - the type of creativity needed to solve cultural, environmental, and social challenges.  Our interdisciplinary focus, small class size, and personal attention to learning enable Harrisburg Academy to produce future leaders capable of rising to grand challenges.

Recently, Academy alumni came together at Alumni Weekend 2015 to celebrate how we've risen to meet these challenges head on.  If you missed the celebration this year, we hope you will join us in 2016.  As always, be sure to stay engaged and stay in touch!

Best,

Alumni Relations Mission Statement

Harrisburg Academy's Alumni Relations program works to extend the advantages of an Academy education beyond graduation day.  We are committed to expanding our global network of alumni, enriching Academy alumni relationships, and galvanizing the philanthropic support of current and future alumni for the school's mission and operations.

Alumni Weekend 2015 Recap

Take some time to share in the moments that were captured in photos and film, as we look back on our successful Alumni Weekend events.  Visit the Academy's website to view the recap video, created by Jason Smith '91 and Fathom Studio, and the Academy's Facebook page for an album of event photos.

In addition, if you attended Alumni Weekend, please take this short, anonymous survey to let us know how we did and what you would like to see for next year.

Lunch n' Learn: David Kury '91

David Kury '91 returned to Harrisburg Academy to offer the first Lunch n' Learn of 2015.  These events are hosted through the Centers for Experiential Learning & Innovation.  David is a senior producer at Crystal Dynamics in San Francisco, California.  His career has been passionately devoted to creating high caliber video games, including "Star Wars: 1313," for which he had the chance to visit Skywalker Ranch! David was able to give students a behind-the-scenes look at how motion capture is used.  He also demonstrated the previously cancelled "Star Wars: 1313."  David discussed his background in the arts and how classes at Harrisburg Academy helped inform the decisions that he makes on a daily basis.

Alumni Basketball Games 2015

As is our annual tradition, Harrisburg Academy invites alumni to participate in its alumni basketball games the evening before Thanksgiving.  This is a fun and exciting event, allowing alumni to reconnect both to each other and to our school.

We invite you to join us for the 46th Annual Alumni Basketball Games on Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2015 in Louis Lehrman Gymnasium.  The women's game is at 6 p.m. and the men's game is at 7:30 p.m.  The Alumni Relations Office will provide snacks and refreshments.  Bring your game face and cheer on your fellow alumni!

Click to RSVP.  Questions?  Please contact Michael LaRue.
