Please include the name of the camper and the camp date in the memo of the check.

Camp tuition (full or partial) may not be transferred from week to week unless prior arrangements have been made with the director at least two weeks in advance of the start of the registered camp week.  Only one deposit can be applied to the tuition of each camp week.  Refunds (minus the deposit) are only available if cancellation is requested at least two weeks prior to the start of the registered camp week.  Within two weeks, refunds (minus the deposit) are only available if cancellation is due to the camper’s health, immediate family emergency, bereavement, or participation in a national-level tournament; written documentation of the reason for cancellation must be presented to the director of summer camp no later than the end of the registered camp week.  After cancellation has been requested, the camper may re-register for the week if there is space, and if a new deposit is paid.

Please note that individual day registrations for field trip days must also include at least one other paid day of the same camp week.  The day rate is only available for campers who register for partial weeks; campers who register for a full week will be charged at the weekly rate.

Although Harrisburg Academy tries to offer flexibility in its camp program, please understand that these policies need to be enforced to ensure fairness to all families and to our staff.

Summer Camp Schedule

Summer Camp hours are 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., with early drop-off beginning at 7:30 a.m. and late pick-up until 5:30 p.m.  Our extended hours are offered free of charge.  In the event that a camper is picked up after 5:30 p.m., a late fee of $10 per 15 minutes or any part thereof will be charged.

Mondays and Wednesdays are pool days; Thursdays are field trip days (with the exceptions of weeks 6 and 7 that have multiple field trips).  Field trip departure and return times vary and are communicated to parents the week prior.  Parents are encouraged to check our weekly eNewsletter for the most up-to-date information about specific activities (*for the security of our children, this link is not public and will be provided to your family only after registering your child for camp).

Please note that our schedule is subject to change at the discretion of the director and may be based on weather conditions.

Pre-Camp Parent Orientation Meeting & Mandatory Safety Meeting

Summer Expeditions families are invited to attend a camp orientation meeting before the first week of camp.  We will begin in Harrisburg Academy’s McCormick Auditorium before dispersing for small group tours.  This is a great opportunity to meet the counselors and ask any questions about your child’s camp experience.

New for 2017:  At least one parent/guardian of each camper must attend a brief meeting to cover safety and emergency procedures.  The meetings will begin at 8:30 a.m. the first day of each camp week and will last for approximately 15 minutes.  For families with campers who will be with us for multiple weeks or multiple camps, parents/guardians are only required to attend one meeting held during the first week of attendance in our summer programs.
