Dear Harrisburg Academy Family and Friends,

As I begin my service as Interim Head of School, I am honored to join the Harrisburg Academy community. For more than 30 years, I have had the privilege of leading independent schools, working alongside dedicated educators, engaged families, and remarkable students. Throughout my career, I have remained committed to creating learning environments where academic excellence is paired with the guidance, support, and sense of belonging that allow every student to flourish.

What drew me to Harrisburg Academy is its strong sense of community and unwavering commitment to developing the whole child. This is a school where students are challenged intellectually, encouraged to think independently, and supported as they grow into compassionate, confident, and principled individuals. I believe that a rigorous academic program, combined with meaningful social and emotional guidance, provides the foundation students need not only to succeed in school but also to lead purposeful lives beyond graduation.

At Harrisburg Academy, our educational philosophy is grounded in authentic learning, inquiry, and meaningful collaboration. We believe students learn best by engaging with real-world challenges, asking thoughtful questions, and working together through hands-on experiences that foster curiosity, creativity, and purpose. As we begin the new school year, we are excited to continue Harrisburg Academy’s dedication to the International Baccalaureate. This represents more than the implementation of an educational framework; it reflects our unwavering commitment to educational excellence and to nurturing the whole child.

We strive to create an environment where students discover their strengths, embrace challenges, and grow with confidence as they navigate childhood and adolescence.
