In our proud 236-year history, Harrisburg Academy has not faced a crisis of the magnitude and perplexity of COVID-19. When this pandemic required us to close our doors to in-classroom instruction last March, the Academy’s team of talented educators transitioned to virtual instruction within 24 hours of the state-mandated shutdown. Now, with much research, planning, safety, technology and the highly acclaimedInternational Baccalaureate (IB) learning philosophy, Harrisburg Academy plans to reopen on August 25. Niche.com ranks the Academy the best private high school in Cumberland County and the Central Penn Business Journal 2020 Reader Rankings places us first in K-12 private schools.  This fall, we offer families a seamless choice: teacher-led instruction either in person or through real-time distance learning.  As always, the health and well-being of our students, faculty, staff and families are of paramount concern.
